How do I make a Reservation?
Just call our office at 609-522-4400 and ask for the Rental Department. If you want to rent a specific property that you find online, just jot down the property ID or the broker key number and give that to us. Or if you are looking for a specific week, just call and give us the dates and we will search the availability with you. If you prefer, you can send us an email request at rentals@blueoceanrealty.com.
How is payment made and do you accept credit cards?
We will create your Lease and email it to you. You will have 10 days from the date on the lease to send in half the rental amount, plus the booking fee. We also ask for a separate check payable to the owner for the security deposit. Your balance will be due 30 days prior to your check in date.
If you are making a reservation within the 30 day time frame of your check in date, you will be required to send us the full amount. All last minute reservations must be paid with a money order or cashiers check and sent VIA overnight mail.
We cannot accept credit cards. You have the option of calling your credit card company and requesting checks. This way you can send us a check and the charge will go on your credit card account.
What is the Security Deposit?
The security deposit is not the amount required to hold your reservation. It is an amount set by the homeowner to be used in case of damage or if excessive cleaning is needed. You will receive this deposit back as long as you leave the property the way you found it. These checks are to be made payable to the owner and we forward it to them. They have 30 calendar days after check out to return the deposit to you, and/or an itemized letter explaining deductions made. In addition to damages and extra cleaning, an owner may deduct for cost of infractions of trash and recycling rules.
What is your cancellation policy?
All payments are Non-Refundable and will be forfeited unless a replacement reservation for that residence is made. In that case monies will be refunded less $150.00 cancellation fee and the non-refundable booking fee.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in time is 2PM and check out time is 10AM. Remember to bring a copy of your lease and a driver’s license with you. Please return the keys to our office when you check out. If you leave when the office is closed, you may drop the keys in our mailbox.
Where do I pick up and return the keys?
Come to our office at 4701 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood, NJ. Take exit 4B off the Garden State Parkway. Take it to New Jersey Avenue and make a left. You will see Kona Sports on the corner. We are two blocks down on the right.
What if we are late checking in?
If you are going to be late, after 5PM, please call and let us know. We will leave an envelope in our mailbox with 1 set of keys. We will not leave any reference to the address, so you will need your lease. We ask that you come back in the morning and complete the check in process.
What should we bring with us?
Bring all linens (sheets, towels, kitchen towels, beach towels). The bed sizes are on your lease in the bottom section.
Bring paper products, trash bags, cleaning products, laundry detergent and of course toiletries.
Homeowners do not provide beach chairs or a beach umbrella. You can bring your own or rent them on the beach.
What is included in our rental?
Refer to your lease copy for amenities and features of the property you have selected. Please make note of the maximum occupancy.
What do we do if something is wrong with the rental property?
When you check in, we ask that you let us know immediately if anything is wrong. If the home hasn’t been cleaned or you notice that anything is broken or torn, let us know. We will call the owner and get the cleaning company to come back. We will document all items or issues with your rental that are reported to our office. If during your stay anything breaks or stops working, call us right away. We have plumbers, electricians, heat/air conditioning, and appliance repair people that we can call.
What is our responsibility when we check out of the property?
• Check that all your belongings are packed.
• Remove your sheets from all the beds.
• Make sure you haven’t left anything in the washer or dryer.
• Place trash and recyclable items in proper receptacles.
• Wash dishes and empty dishwasher.
• Leave the property in broom clean condition.
• Return the keys to Blue Ocean Realty.
Are Pets allowed?
Property owners determine this answer. Most rental properties do not allow pets. Inquire by phone for a pet friendly rental.
